PHNOM ANGKAOL BEACHES
Beaches on the Vietnamese border, lovely sandy beaches lined with coconut palms in a small fishing village
To get to the Vietnamese border beaches, leave the main market of Kep in the direction of Kompong Trach. At km 13, take the second road on the right. Drive another 10 km before turning right at the salt marshes to Phnom Angkaol, a large mountain that can be seen from a distance. Continue to the small fishing village. When you reach the first beach, an old Khmer Rouge bunker is on the left. More beautiful than the one in Kep, these beaches are sandy and lined with coconut trees, but they are not cleaned.
