Very beautiful landscapes along the route with the crossing of the interior countryside of the provinces of Matanzas and Havana. Built in 1918 on the initiative of Milton S. Hershey, the great owner of the former Hershey refinery, this train was initially intended to transport sugar between the two main ports of the country. The tranvía, as Cubans call it, connects Canasi (40 km from Matanzas) to Casa Blanca, a small village located on the other side of Havana's harbor.
