MUSEO FARMACEUTICO
The pharmacy was founded in 1882 by Ernest Triolet, a French practitioner, and Dolores Figueroa, the country's first pharmacist. This French-Cuban couple ran one of the most beautiful pharmacies in the country, which closed in 1963 and was transformed into a museum in 1964; one of their sons was the first curator. Note the beautiful mahogany woodwork, the Sevres porcelain jars and the orange-red stained glass windows. Linger also over the impressive collection of medicinal preparations: there are more than one million of them!
