La Palmira Museum is located in the small and charming village of the same name, about ten kilometers from Cienfuegos. This village is famous for its Yoruba traditions and its santeria societies. Among the main Yoruba festivities that punctuate the life of Palmira are the Santa Bárbara procession, dedicated to one of the most beloved orisha deities of the city, and the Bembé festivals, during which the drums invade the streets! We'll go to the museum to learn more about these African traditions, which are well established in Cuba!
