Born in Camagüey and of mixed race, Nicolas Guillén (1902-1986) entered the pantheon of Cuban authors, with love and death as central themes. Although he only lived in this house for two years, he returned to the city after studying law in Havana. This small museum, which recently reopened after renovation, displays photos and copies of poems that recall the poet's work. It was included in the Cuban National Heritage in 2017.
