PLAZA SAN JUAN DE DIOS
Go there and contact
Surrounded by old colonial houses from the 18th century with colorful facades, the square has been included by the Cuban authorities in the national monuments. It is one of the main landmarks of Camagüey. The church of the same name, built in 1728 and adjacent to the square, houses a convent and a hospital. Its arcaded patio and interior galleries are typical of the colonial architecture of the city. The body of the hero Ignacio Agramonte, native of the city, will be brought there for identification after the Spaniards had burned his body.
