Dedicated to the 26th of July movement (launched by Castro, in memory of the attack on the Moncada barracks in 1953) and its action in the province from 1956, this museum, a former Pinilla rum storehouse, was inaugurated in 1995 (for the city's bicentennial). It is worthwhile to have a look at the shirts of the guerrillas, the weapons, the red and black insignia and the few documents presented. In August and September 1955, Frank País García and his "Grupo de los 18" coordinated their attacks in the area.
