This sundial indicates hours, seasonal changes, sun position, sunrise and sunset
It indicates hours, half-hours, quarter-hours, seasonal changes, sunrise and sunset. This sundial, one of the most beautiful in France, dates from the 18th century and was renovated in 1959 and 1977. You'll have to search a little to admire it, but it's well worth the detour. The Latin motto " Sicut umbra fugit vita " (translated as "like the shadow, life flees") is inscribed on the sundial, providing food for thought. A must-see!
