This museum retraces the witchcraft trials held in Bergheim from 1582 to 1683, through engravings, archives and documentary films. It sheds light on a dark part of Alsace's history, when beliefs, evil spirits, religion and justice agitated the population. La Maison des Sorcières is based exclusively on historically proven facts. In addition to the history of witchcraft in Alsace, this museum offers interesting insights into a number of related themes, such as representations of women, tolerance and fear of the unknown.

En arrivant dans un tel endroit on s'attendrait à un peu plus de contenu sur le sujet, mais il n'y est traité qu'une seule affaire de sorcellerie.
Cette dernière est néanmoins bien illustrée et présentée, mais du coup la visite est rapidement expédiée. Mais bon, pour un prix d'entrée à 3€ on ne peu pas dire que l'on se fait avoir.
