The Freyburger family owns a 24-hectare estate spread over four communes at the foot of Haut-Kœnigsbourg: Bergheim (Grand Cru Altenberg), Rorschwihr, Rodern and Saint-Hippolyte. The estate harvests its grapes by hand, and obtained AB certification in 2011. Since 1982, the estate has been producing Crémant d'Alsace using the traditional method in blanc de blancs, blanc de noir, riesling and rosé bruts, as well as Vendanges Tardives and Grands Crus from excellent vintages, and delicious eaux-de-vie-maison.
