PUNTA MONA
The Refugio Nacional Gandoca-Manzanillo is a nature reserve in Costa Rica, managed by the National System of Conservation Areas. Created in 1986, it protects both terrestrial and marine areas. The reserve covers an area of 45.66 square kilometers (17.63 sq mi) for the terrestrial part and 59.23 square kilometers (22.87 sq mi) for the marine part. The Refugio Nacional Gandoca-Manzanillo offers visitors the chance to discover a rich and varied flora and fauna. However, please note that the reserve is currently closed to visitors due to regulatory issues. Officials are working to resolve these issues and hope to reopen in the near future.
