Right on the beach in Atalaia, the Encanto do Mar restaurant is a pleasant and cheap option for good local food. The portions are generous and the family atmosphere unpretentious. Try the camarão no coco (shrimp generously served in a coconut) served with mashed potatoes and white rice, or the mariscada, served with a mixture of seafood. The fish moquecas , Greek-style shrimp and fish isca are generously served. The welcome is very pleasant.
