PF readers know this. The Oriental presence in Brazil goes back a long way. The Siro-Lebanese, long nicknamed the Turks because they were leaving regions still under Ottoman control, came at the beginning of the 20th century with all the delicacy and variety of Oriental cuisine in their suitcases. Pimenta siria is an excellent alternative to "kilos" or other "churrascarias". In a delicately exotic setting, it serves good Quibes, Keftas, Charutinhos, Houmus, Falafel, Tajine and Taboulé. Rodizios are also available for larger appetites.
