Manguinhos is undoubtedly the best beach for windsurfing, kitesurfing and all sailing sports, thanks to its orientation to the north-easterly wind. It's a long beach with warm, calm waters and few crowds, perfect for families with children. You can enjoy excellent pastéis de camarão or casquinha de peixe (a kind of fish pie), accompanied by a cold beer. The Porto de Barra with its long pontoon is a good place to watch the sunset.
