In the Itauajuri mountain range region, there are two well-known waterfalls that are fairly easy to access: Açu das Pedras and Igarapé Anai. The best-known waterfall in the entire region is Paraíso, located in the eponymous valley, and can be considered an "ecotourism product", as the area already boasts a budding infrastructure, visited every year by countless Brazilian and foreign tourists. The cachoeira of Açu das pedras is a large and beautiful waterfall in the middle of the forest.
