KAMINALJUYÚ
Archaeological site where a few mounds and low structures remain from the Hill of the Dead, museum with ceramics on site.
Only a few mounds and low structures remain of the Hill of the Dead. Nevertheless, this little-known archaeological site is among the most important in the country in terms of historical interest: the city that settled and developed there from the Preclassic to the Late Classic - from 1200 to 900 AD - was the most important pre-Hispanic regional capital of the central Altiplano. A small, well-done explanatory museum with ceramics and replicas of monuments. Attention: in front of the fragility of the ruins, one can only observe them from a distance.
