From Panajachel, you can connect in Lancha pública all the villages of Lake Atitlán.

Council. It is recommended that you purchase your ticket directly at the port. The drivers of public lanchas wear a polo with their company name. Similarly, it is best to buy only one trip and not a return trip (despite the proposed reductions), because the return route will have to be made with the same company, which may cause scheduling problems. Boats leave once full, sometimes a little before time. For the latest departures, a quarter of an hour or a half hour is better.

There are two shipboards on the public beach depending on the destination. The first «playa pública» is located between Rancho Grande and Río calves. It serves Santiago Atitlán (direct link). We have a choice between a lancha (30 minutes) and a little "barca" ferry, slower (1 hour) but offers a pleasant trip if you are sitting on the bridge. Hours: every half hour from 7 a. m. to 5 p. m. (the boat leaves once full). Tariff: 25 Q.

The second «Tzanjuyu», located at the end of the Calle del Embarcadero (so called Cacique Inn), serves San Pedro La Laguna, either directly or via villages on the west bank of Lago Atitlán (Santa Cruz La Laguna, Jaibalito, Tzununá, San Marcos La Laguna, San Pablo La Laguna and San Juan La Laguna). Hours: every half hour from 6 a. m. to 5 p. m. (the boat leaves once full). Count 25 Q for San Pedro direct and San Juan, or 15 Q for each village to San Marcos.
