Baroque-style church with niches in the façade, a ceiling in the shape of an upside-down ship's hull and a silver altar.
As in most of the villages of the Altiplano, the main attraction of Zunil, along with the market, is its imposing colonial church, located in the central square. It is one of the largest in the region. It has a baroque style façade with niches and twisted columns. Inside, there is a singular ceiling in the shape of an inverted ship's hull, as well as a beautiful silver altar. Every November 25, devotees gather here to celebrate Santa Catalina, the patron saint of the village.
