CATEDRAL SANTO DOMINGO DE GUZMÁN
Built in 1542, the cathedral has three naves, the central one with a wooden ceiling evoking the deck of an ancient galley.
Founded in 1542, this massive building that stands at the eastern end of the Parque Central is one of the oldest structures in the region. Nevertheless, the cathedral has been rebuilt several times: in 1741, in 1799 and in 1965. Once inside the door, you will see a huge bronze bell. The interior is painted white, yellow and blue and consists of three naves. In the central nave, a wooden ceiling is remarkable, which evokes the deck of an ancient galley.
