Immaculate white church atop the sacred Q'ana Ix hill, inviting you to discover Guatemalan religious syncretism.
Perched on top of the sacred Q'ana Ix hill, a few steps from the Parque Central, this pretty, pristine white church is accessible by a staircase of 137 steps lined with low walls and small chapels blackened by candles. "Fun fact": it was erected half a century after the monument was built, which would have ended in 1810. In addition to enjoying a beautiful view of the city, it is an opportunity to observe the Guatemalan religious syncretism, since masses in Q'eqchi' and Spanish are held there every Sunday.
