SEPALAU LAGOON
Four turquoise Sepalau lagoons to the east of Chisec invite you to swim in the crystal-clear waters or take a kayak tour.
Vidas, Santa María, Agua Salada and Agua de la Tortuga: these are the names of the four turquoise lagoons of Sepalau, 9 kilometers east of Chisec. A path leads to them in about 40 minutes of walking from the community of Sepalau Cataltzul. On the way, you can see cardamom plantations in the foreground, while the small Chamá mountain range is in the background.once there, you can bathe in the crystal clear waters of the lagoons - whose color comes from underground minerals - take a kayak tour or go zip-lining.
