AK’TENAMIT
On the Río Tatín, we find the artisan shop and the restaurant that partly funds this association, which was created in 1992 to support sustainable development of the Q '' villages of this Scots area. These communities from the highlands and refugees in the region during the 1950 s did not, a few years ago, benefit from access to care and education. Through the assistance of international organizations and special donations, community members established a system for managing and preserving their natural environment. The artisanal cooperatives thus created use forest resources, manage a hospital and schools and train young people in tourism and hotel occupations. Reservations must be booked at least one week in advance. Volunteers willing to commit over several months are welcome.
