PARROQUIA SANTIAGO
Built between 1680 and 1682 with a beautiful facade, this church was formerly used by the faithful to venerate the image of Cristo Negro.
It was in this church, built between 1680 and 1682, that the faithful venerated the image of the Señor de Esquipulas - the other name given to Cristo Negro - before it was transferred to the basilica. Today, believers celebrate the patronal feast of Santiago Apóstol, which is held every year from July 22 to 25, with the latter day being the main date - of course, nothing like January 15. Its beautiful facade has several interesting details, such as a niche occupied by a representation of the Virgen de la Anunciación.
