CUEVAS DE LAS MINAS

Located only a few kilometres from Esquipulas, las Cuevas in las Minas is a network of caves (caves: caves) dug by man to extract, among others, jade. Extraction activity has long ceased. Today, they are the subject of special attention on the part of the population. Indeed, men working in the mine would have seen the Cristo Negro appear there.
