You can observe a multitude of parrots, toucans, scarlet, green and blue macaws and other native Honduran birds, some of which are in semi-liberty. In all, there are 240 birds of 23 different species. Explanations are given on the influence of birds in traditional Mayan culture. The park is nestled in a small botanical garden on the banks of the river, where you can enjoy a swim. The birds in the park come from private donations or from the police (wild animals confiscated from traffickers).
