CASA DE SUCRE
The superb colonial residence of Marshal Sucre's family became government property in 1972
The superb colonial residence of the Marshal Sucre family, built at the end of the 17th century in the colonial style, became government property in 1972. Restored and decorated as the Sucre family home was at the time, this sumptuous house became a museum in 1974. The rooms on two levels overhang a gallery framing a charming patio, refreshed by a fountain and decorated with green plants. The works of art, by anonymous artists, are original. The epic of the Marshal is retraced in a room dedicated to him.
