MUNICIPAL PALACE
Palace located on the Plaza de La Independencia, housing three murals by Ecuadorian naive painter Gonzalo Endara Crow
Located on the Plaza de La Independencia and just across from the Palacio del Gobierno, this palace was built in the late 1970s to replace a colonial building. Inside, three murals by the Ecuadorian naive painter Gonzalo Endara Crow stand out, one of which represents Quito and the other two, Ecuador. The ground floor of this building recreates an extension of the Plaza de la Independencia. It is a place of great tourist attraction, as it is located in the heart of the historic center and is the seat of the local government.
