TELEFERIQO
This French-built ropeway takes you from an altitude of 2,800 m to 4,000 m to the Cruz Loma station
This French-made cable car is one of Quito's great attractions. In 10 minutes, it takes you from 2,800 m to 4,000 m above sea level to the Cruz Loma station, on the side of the Pichincha volcano. The ascent is breathtaking and offers, from the top, an exceptional panorama of Quito (if the sky is clear). You will be able to admire the chain of volcanoes and walk along very well marked paths. The station has cafes and shops, as well as a first aid station, useful for visitors who suffer from altitude sickness!
