The community is located minutes by bus from the famous Artisanal handicraft market, just steps from the Laguna Cuicocha (Cuicocha Lake) and dominated by the Imbabura and Cotacachi volcanoes. Several families welcome visitors and organise their travel by adapting to their wishes. It is an opportunity to discover with them the crafts and local music, medicinal plants and their customs. They will also propose to visit alpacas or climb the Cotacachi volcano (4 930 m). The benefits are used to educate young people to stop the exodus to large cities, a real threat to the transmission of ancestral knowledge.
