Attractive park in the heart of the town of Latacunga, featuring an Italian-made monument to Vicente León
This central park has a provincial charm. It is located in the heart of the city of Latacunga. Here the liberation campaigns of Ecuador were organized. In 1925, a monument made in Italy was erected in honor of Vicente León, a philanthropist of the city. In addition, on one side of the park is the Mother Church, which is a symbol for the Latacungueños, as it represents the faith of a people with a history and tradition. At night, when the immaculate cathedral lights up in blue behind the palm trees of the park, it almost looks like Andalusia.
