IGLESIA SAN ANTONIO DE PADUA
Church with a superb view of neighbouring volcanoes El Altar, Tungurahua and Chimborazo from its square
Also known as the Church of the Loma de Quito, the site chosen for this church and its convent is one of the most beautiful in Riobamba; located in a high area of the city, in front of the 21 de Abril Park, a historical place that commemorates the independence events of 1822. This church, built in 1935, dominates the city. From its square, there is a superb view of the neighboring volcanoes El Altar, Tungurahua and Chimborazo, if the weather is good.
