MUSEUM OF RELIGIOUS ART OF THE CONCEPTION
Museum housing an interesting exhibition of religious paintings and sculptures from the and centuries by the Quito school
This former convent is one of the city's most interesting testimonies to its religious and colonial traditions. Over the course of 14 rooms, you'll discover an interesting exhibition of religious paintings and sculptures from the 17th and 18th centuries by the Quito school, pieces of goldsmith's and silversmith's art, as well as a fine collection of objects from the colonial era and a nun's cell. The centerpiece of the collection was a magnificent gold monstrance, stolen some years ago.
