IGLESIA SANTO DOMINGO
Church located on two adjoining plots of land that today form Mariscal Lamar Street
It is thesecond largest church in the city. This building does not stand on the same site as the former convent and chapel of the Dominicans, since in colonial times they were located on two adjoining plots of land that today form Mariscal Lamar Street. The present church, whose façade is framed by two imposing twin towers 37 m high, was begun in the second half of the 19th century. It was completed in the 1930s and dedicated to the Virgen del Rosario, better known as Morenica del Rosario.
