Museum featuring religious art and period utensils
The museum. It is certainly the most beautiful museum in the city. It is installed in what was the infirmary of the convent of the Madres Conceptas, built in the 19th century. In its rooms, preserved as they were, you can discover what the daily life of these women was like, as well as pieces of religious art and utensils of the time. One of the most important pieces is a triptych crib, which is particularly elaborate. Many of these pieces were donated by the nuns who entered the convent over the course of four centuries. The room of the Celda (cell) is particularly interesting. It faithfully represents the nuns' cell: a simple bed, a chamber pot, a washbasin to wash one's hands, an altar for the saint of one's devotion, a Christ and a small table, a rosary, a box of secrets, an altar for the Virgin and a chair.
The church. It owes its name to the nuns who live in the convent to which the church belongs (Convent of the Immaculate Conception). It was built at the beginning of the 18th century and its façade is remarkable: a wall decorated with niches and culminating in a small rock (Espadaña), on which there is no entrance door. The two entrances are on the side where you can appreciate two beautiful carved wooden doors. Inside the building, we can see Baroque elements of great artistic value, such as the main altarpiece and the side altars
