Garden just outside the city, home to a superb collection of some 200 orchid species
Located just outside the city, it contains a superb collection of some 200 species of orchids. The friendly couple who run the place are passionate about the environment and have been actively involved in the preservation of Amazonian biodiversity for 40 years now. Their immense garden is worth a long visit. It is difficult to imagine the work it took to transform a deforested pasture into a centre for the preservation of wild orchids! To see.
