Very frequent departures to all cities in the country.
To Quito, departure every hour (duration: 8 hours; prefer Transportes Ecuador or Flota Imababura). 24-hour service.
For the Costa: Playas, Península de Santa Elena, Salinas (2h30), several departures per hour. Machalá (3h30), several departures per hour, but we recommend collective taxis from the city centre. Buses run along the Ruta del Sol: Olón, Montañita, Puerto López (3h), be careful, some buses are not direct, so you have to change at La Libertad. Porto Viejo (4h); Manta (3h30) about fifteen departures per day.
For the Sierra: Ambato (6:30 am) and Riobamba (5 am), departures every hour; Cuenca (4 am); Loja (8 am), departures every hour during the day, possibility of making the night trip (not recommended).
For the Amazon: Lago Agrio via Quevedo and Santo Domingo (1pm, Transportes Occidentales and Transportes Loja); Puyo and Tena (9am, Touris san Francisco Orienta cooperative); Coca, several departures per day (Zaracay and Baños cooperatives for Puyo, Flota Pelileo and Baños for Tena, 9am).
