MALECÓN 2000
A pleasant location, home to restaurants with terraces overlooking the river, museums and shops
The Malecón 2000 promenade, overlooking the Guayas River for 2.5 km, is one of the most pleasant places in Guayaquil. The gardens of the Malecón, which succeed the Rotonda, are adorned with tropical flora distributed around pleasant watering holes and 3 isolated squares: the Plaza Precolombiana, the Plaza Neoclásica and the Plaza de las Bromelias. You will also find restaurants with terraces that open onto the river, museums and shops. It ends after the superb structure of the Palacio de Cristal designed by Gustave Eiffel.
