Home to restaurants, cafés, art galleries and craft stores, its main attraction is the view over the city

It covers an area of about 13.50 ha, and is undergoing urban restructuring development, with an estimated population of 5,000. The Cerro, formerly called Cerrito Verde, is the site from which the town was founded in 1547. Today it is home to restaurants, cafes, art galleries and craft shops and its main attraction is the view it offers of the city. Other points of interest include the Mirador el Fortín, the highest point of the Cerro, where the Faro is built, as well as the Santa Ana chapel and the museum.
