PLAYA MURCIÉLAGO
Beach where you can watch wooden, sail and motor boats being built
Less protected than Tarqui beach, and therefore windier (beware of the currents!), this large beach of the "bat" is very frequented on weekends by Ecuadorians, who go there with their families or friends, and is lined with bars and restaurants. You can have a drink in the shade and enjoy grilled meat or ceviche, accompanied by patacones (fried plantain slices). On the beach, one can sometimes observe the construction of wooden boats, with sail or motor; the workers still use ancestral artisanal methods.
