This bay on the west side of the island, opposite Sullivan Bay, is one of Santiago's most visited sites
Located on the west side of the island, opposite Sullivan's Bay, this bay, named after King James of England, is one of the most visited sites on Santiago, formerly known as James Island. The sea caves are home to a large colony of fur seals. A path leads to an old salt mine where you can discover the remains of the mining company's installations. Another path leads to the Pan de Azucar where there are fresh water springs. The place is proposed by several diving agencies for the richness of its funds.
