In Lopé, WCS is working on the following strategic areas: strengthening environmental governance through the structuring of the associative fabric, the education and community awareness program; ecological watch through the monitoring of mammals in the park; monitoring of law enforcement to evaluate patrol efforts; auditing of wildlife management and exploitation impacts in the forest concessions surrounding the Lopé park. And ongoing training in environmental and conservation skills.
