Tropical rainforest home to over 2,000 plant species, including several endangered species
A marvel of national research, where studies are being carried out on agroforestry in the heart of this 15,000-hectare biosphere reserve. It is the only area in Gabon where no logging takes place. This tropical rainforest runs along the banks of the Ivindo River. It is home to over 2,000 plant species, including several endangered species, as well as some 600 species of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds and fish.
