A lagoon whose waters delight fishermen who come to catch jacks, captains and tarpons
Gamba is built along the Ndougou (or Ndogo) lagoon, just like Sette Cama. The latter has about 150 islands and its waters, especially near the mouth, are a delight for fishermen who come to catch jacks, captains and tarpons. With a little patience, it is possible to find a piroguier who will take you for a ride on the lagoon. As you walk along the shoreline, which is sandy in places because the sea is not far away, you will see children bathing or women washing clothes in the lagoon. A quiet way of life, almost village-like!
