This Catholic mission at the entrance to Lastoursville was rebuilt by the Dutch Fathers after the 2nd World War
At the entrance to Lastoursville is the Catholic mission of Saint-Pierre-Claver. A beautiful church can be seen on the left in an area of colonial brick houses. The mission, built in 1883, was attacked and partially destroyed by the Adouma a few years later. The missionaries then left for Franceville. It was rebuilt after the Second World War by the Dutch Fathers who brought the new mission to life.
