Site with the greatest diversity of birds in Gabon and gorillas accustomed to humans

It is a unique region in Central Africa: in the middle of the great dense and humid forest of the Congo Basin, giant dunes suddenly appear, covered with savannahs more or less planted with trees and cut by sinuous rivers, bordered by forest galleries. On the outskirts of the park, the erosion cirques of the plateaus emerge in the middle of this hilly landscape as far as the eye can see, like a gift from nature. Last refuge of the fauna of the Teke region, they regroup the greatest diversity of birds in Gabon and gorillas used to man.

Visit this last Weekend of the Batékés plates north of Léconi that does not have a national park and private fully enclosed park with animals from South Africa. It is magical and especially not to miss if you are in the area. Spaces are imposing and the breathtaking views. A mandatory stop for at the end of the visit to the belvedere which offers great views over the whole of the plates! Thank you in Petit Futé to be switched on of Franklin in its guide who helped us for an unforgettable stay in this region to be discovered absolutely!
