This particularly spectacular waterfall cascades down into the river, which quietly follows its course
In Louango, 30 km from Tchibanga, it's essential to speak to a villager who will lead you on foot to the Ivéla waterfalls in the Mitoungou gorge, at the confluence of the Nyanga and Moukalaba rivers. The walk takes around 2 hours. Elephants frequent this area, and you can make out their tracks... It's best to be well-shod, as the ants are invasive. The waterfall, which is particularly spectacular, cascades down into the river, which follows its gentle course. You can get there by pirogue from Louango.
