A must-see for those who are not afraid of crowds and noise, to soak up the local and typical atmosphere of São Tomé. This covered market is home to a multitude of small, colourful stalls selling all the island's delicious fruits, from plantains to huge jackfruit trees. You can also find all sorts of vegetables and fish at a very low price. It is not uncommon that in the middle of the market, the merchants start singing and dancing for improvised shows in a good mood. An authentic experience!
