Afrijet, whose majority shareholder is now the Gabonese state, has recently launched two round-trip flights between São Tomé and Príncipe, on Thursdays and Sundays. The journey takes around 45 minutes. Depending on the weather, the plane often takes off early or late, without the company informing its passengers. The flight is very pleasant aboard a beautiful new-generation ATR 72-600. A sandwich and a drink are offered on board. The arrival at Príncipe is splendid, flying over its rugged coastline and lush countryside.
