JEAN BAPTIST LANG CREOLE HOUSE MUSEUM
Beautiful Anglo-Creole cottage offering a tour to learn more about the life of the period and the elements of its architecture.
A lovely Anglo-Creole cottage dating from the 1850s with typical architecture (high ceilings and large front and back porches) that was the summer home of wealthy tobacco merchant Jean Baptiste Lang. The house survived the Civil War and Katrina, which almost destroyed it. The tour, offered in English, is an opportunity to learn more about life at the time of its construction and to discover all the elements that make up its architecture.
