I know the owners is a very fine family campground tucked in the woods next to a river.

Not a place we are going back to. It wasn't horrible but there are a lot of full time campers which is what I think gives it a weird vibe. We stayed in the very back, in front of what I think is for someone that works theres house. Lots of vehicles in and out all night so kind of disturbing when you're trying to sleep. The permanent campers are really unique and seems like a good community of people but they seem a little territorial and not super friendly to "outsiders". The grounds were kept up nice. There is a store in the front with everything you need. The pool is kept really clean and the 3 ft area is large and the deep end is well marked. They also have a kiddie pool, large playground, putt putt, water slide and game room. You have to pay extra for everything except the pool. The game room is ok, just kind of musky and dirty. Seems like a lot of people like the place, its just not the vibe for us and thats why I wanted to add all the nice features.

Always a relaxing field trip.

The campground is nice and shady with huge oak trees, despite the name. There's a lot to do for kids here. You'll find a playground, a putt putt golf, a waterslide, a swimming pool and a very shallow creek to explore. The check-in staff and the lifeguards were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
